HOWSEN KWAN

Dr. Howsen Kwan grew up in rural north Texas, where his father was the sole pediatrician, inspiring his passion for primary care. After graduating with honors from the Texas Academy of Mathematics & Science, he earned a biochemistry degree at Austin College and studied medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He began orthopedic surgery training in Dublin before returning to Texas to complete a family medicine residency at UT Southwestern, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Kwan is a classical pianist, avid tennis player, and avid traveler, and he enjoys family life with his wife Jessica and their children Amelia and Winson.
