HOLLY PORTER

Holly Porter, LMHC is our lead therapist and a co‑founder of Assurance Healthcare & Counseling Center. Holly is a psychotherapist with a license in mental health counseling (LH 60604133). After majoring in psychology at the University of Washington, she completed her master’s degree at Central Washington University. Holly’s clinical work focuses primarily on treating individuals with depression, anxiety, grief, and values‑driven living. She also works with couples on relational flourishing. Holly was trained as a generalist clinician and practices from an integrative theoretical orientation. She continues her therapeutic education with an emphasis in psychodynamic therapy and existentialism, and incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Her therapeutic approach is warm, direct, experiential, and collaborative. Holly is also certified as an Approved Supervisor, having completed supervision training in 2020 through Cascadia Training for Professional Development and supervising associate‑licensed counselors.
