GINA DEGIOVANNI

Dr. Gina DeGiovanni was born and raised in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin, in a medical household—her father a surgeon and her mother a nurse. She attended the University of Chicago for both her undergraduate studies and medical school. After completing one year of a General Surgery residency, she decided to pursue Family Medicine and finished her residency at West Suburban Medical Center in the Chicago suburbs. Dr. DeGiovanni lives in Prairie du Sac with her husband and teenage son and is enthusiastic about joining Advocate MD.

At Advocate MD, Dr. DeGiovanni embraces the Direct Primary Care model, emphasizing the removal of insurance and administrative barriers to foster a stronger patient‑doctor relationship. She believes that spending more time with patients—through in‑person visits, phone calls, and email—leads to higher quality care, better outcomes, and greater patient satisfaction. By providing medications, labs, procedures, and imaging at transparent costs, she aims to keep care affordable and accessible for her community.
