Frank Aliganga

Dr. Frank Anthony Aliganga, MD is a board‑certified Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine physician and founder of Empowered Health Direct Primary Care (DPC). He created the practice to move away from rushed, insurance‑driven visits and to provide patients with longer, transparent, and affordable primary care appointments. Dr. Aliganga emphasizes a patient‑centered approach, spending real time with each individual, offering same‑day sick visits, and building long‑term relationships that allow him to know each patient’s health goals and history.

His clinical background includes earning his MD from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in 2013, completing a Family Medicine residency at Kaiser Permanente Southern California (2013‑2016), and a Community Medicine fellowship at the same institution. Over the past decade he has served as a Clinical Instructor and Core Faculty at Cooper University Healthcare, a Family Medicine physician for Asian Pacific Health Care Venture, and Chief School Physician for the Camden City School District, bringing a strong focus on health equity and underserved populations to his DPC practice.
