FRANCISCO GUTIERREZ

Dr. Francisco Gutierrez is an established and highly skilled physician with over 25 years of experience in Internal Medicine. He has always been held in high regard by his patients and colleagues, earning numerous accolades for his quality and patient‑centered care, including being named Top Physician by the Consumer Research Council of America from 2010‑2012. Dr. Gutierrez was born in San Salvador, El Salvador, and graduated with Valedictorian honors from La Universidad Evangelica de El Salvador. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Staten Island University Hospital in New York, where he also served as Chief Resident from 1999‑2000 and received the Humanitarian Physician Award in 2000. Recognized by the American Board of Internal Medicine and fluent in Spanish, he is licensed in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. His major interest is vitality and longevity, researching how lifestyle changes can prevent and even reverse disease, which drives the Direct Primary Care model at Solymar Direct Health.
