FELICIA MACIK
Family Medicine
About
Dr. Felicia Macik is a Family Medicine physician and the founder of Uncommon Healthcare, Waco’s first Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice. She emphasizes unrushed, personalized visits that allow her to build long‑term relationships with patients, believing that knowing a patient’s history, personality, and goals leads to better health outcomes. The practice operates on a membership model, eliminating insurance middlemen and providing comprehensive primary care for all ages.
Dr. Macik graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Biology from Tarleton State University and earned her D.O. degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center/Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth. She completed family medicine residency training at the UTMB Family Medicine Residency in Conroe, Texas, followed by a women’s health fellowship at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. After serving on the faculty of Texas A&M’s Brazos Family Medicine Residency and receiving multiple awards, she transitioned to DPC in 2014, founding Uncommon Healthcare to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
