ERIC GERCHMAN
Family Medicine
About
Dr. Eric Gerchman, M.D., grew up watching his father practice family medicine and learned early the importance of putting patients first. He attended The Chicago Medical School (Finch University of Health Sciences) and earned his M.D. in 1995. After completing a family medicine residency at Lancaster General Hospital in Pennsylvania in 1998, he moved to Maine in 1999 where he has practiced for more than 22 years. Dr. Gerchman is board‑certified in family practice and is deeply committed to the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model. He believes that time, discussion, and listening are the hallmarks of a genuine doctor‑patient relationship, and his practice emphasizes non‑rushed appointments, transparent pricing, and personalized, evidence‑based care for each individual patient. Outside of medicine, he enjoys outdoor activities in Maine with his wife Denyell, a pharmacist, and their family, and they have participated in several mission trips together.
