EMILY O'ROURKE

Dr. Emily O'Rourke, MD, is a family medicine physician at Fountain Direct Primary Care in Chesapeake, VA. After completing her medical education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and her residency in Family Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School and Portsmouth Family Medicine, she discovered the Direct Primary Care model and felt it aligned with her vision of providing personalized, patient‑centered care. In October 2018 she opened her own DPC practice, allowing her to limit patient panels, spend more time with each individual, and maintain a balanced life for herself and her family. Dr. O'Rourke emphasizes the integration of physical and mental health, drawing on her background in psychology to address both aspects of wellness for her patients.
