EMILY KNIGHT

Emily Knight, PA-C, was born in rural Michigan and raised on a horse farm. She was valedictorian at her local high school and attended Cornerstone University, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Biology and a minor in Chemistry in 2015. After working as an Emergency Room EMT, she earned her Master of Science and Physician Assistant certification from Eastern Michigan University in 2019. She chose family medicine because she loves providing long‑term care and forming lasting connections in her community.

Emily moved to Rocky Mount, NC, where she joined OIC Family Medical Center and served disadvantaged patients. In 2022 she was drawn to Freedom Family Medicine’s Christian, patient‑centered Direct Primary Care model, which emphasizes holistic, relationship‑based care without insurance barriers. She now provides comprehensive primary care to her DPC panel, focusing on preventive health, continuity, and community involvement. Outside of work, Emily and her husband volunteer with Redeemer Church and enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, kayaking, and trail riding.
