ELIZABETH SORENSEN

Dr. Elizabeth "Betsey" Sorensen is a board‑certified Family Medicine physician with more than 20 years of experience caring for patients of all ages. She earned her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in 2003 and completed her residency in Family Medicine at the Mountain Area Health Education Center in Austin, Texas. Dr. Sorensen is dedicated to providing comprehensive, personalized care and believes that strong doctor‑patient relationships are the foundation of health.

At Arbor Family Medicine, Dr. Sorensen leads the practice’s Direct Primary Care (DPC) model, which began on January 1, 2021. The DPC approach eliminates insurance barriers, reduces wait times, and allows for longer, more meaningful visits. She emphasizes easy communication, proactive health management, and a deep understanding of each patient’s unique life circumstances, aiming to make high‑quality primary care accessible and patient‑centered.
