ELAINE HABIG

Dr. Elaine grew up in southwest Indiana and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Indiana State University with a degree in Chemistry. She earned her MD from Indiana University Medical School and completed her residency at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, where she became Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Habig has over 30 years of experience as an internist in both hospital and private practice settings, and she developed a disease‑management software system that continues to be used by physicians today.

Dr. Habig is passionate about providing unhurried, patient‑centered care. Her clinical interests include diabetes, cardiology, chronic disease management, and preventive care. She is known for her ability to "put the pieces together" and to explain complex medical information in simple, understandable terms. Outside of medicine, she enjoys playing piano, singing in her church choir, caring for plants and cats, and traveling with her family.
