She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 2006, completed an Internal Medicine residency at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas in 2009, and finished a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, NE in 2011.
