About
Dr. Doug Nunamaker was born in Joplin, Missouri and raised mostly in Manhattan, Kansas. He graduated from Manhattan High School and attended Pittsburg State University, where he earned a magna cum laude Bachelor of Science in biology with minors in chemistry and physics. He earned his medical degree from the KU School of Medicine and completed a residency in Family Medicine at Wesley Family Medicine in Wichita. After residency he practiced as a hospitalist with Mid‑Kansas Inpatient Physicians before joining AtlasMD, where he focuses on comprehensive, lifelong family medicine in a Direct Primary Care model. He is board certified in Family Medicine, serves as an Associate Faculty member at the KU School of Medicine – Wichita, and is active in several professional societies.
