DEE CARTER
Family Medicine
About
Dr. Dee Carter founded Living Well Family Medicine over 15 years ago after being inspired by a friend and a patient to ask the question, “Are you living, or are you living well?” She built the practice around the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model, emphasizing personalized, relationship‑focused care, easy access, and transparent pricing for families.
Dr. Carter earned her MD from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 1997 and completed both her internship and residency in Family Medicine at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital (Palmetto Health Alliance) in Columbia, SC. She is board‑certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
At Living Well Family Medicine, Dr. Carter provides same‑day appointments, 24/7 communication via phone or text, and wholesale‑priced labs and medications, allowing patients to receive comprehensive preventive and acute care without the constraints of traditional insurance.
