Hello! I am Debbie. I was born and raised here in Kennebunk. After living in various places around the country, I moved back to town to raise my family in a place I love. I am married and we have two incredible kids. I am also a family nurse practitioner. I was drawn to the profession out of a desire to have a meaningful way to help others but had no misconceptions about the barriers the fee‑for‑service healthcare system creates at providing the care I wished to provide. Corporate healthcare is incentivized by RVUs and the pressure to see as many patients as fast as possible, leading to impersonal, rapid exams with excessive documentation to satisfy insurance reimbursements. I began my career as a 911 dispatcher and then as a registered nurse. I continued my education, earning a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine in 2018. My first four years as a nurse practitioner were in a family medicine practice, followed by two years in skilled nursing facilities. I am excited to be part of a practice that supports my passion of putting the patient first and ensuring that high‑quality, affordable care is accessible to everyone in our community.
