About

Dr. Dean Bartholomew grew up in Saratoga, Wyoming. He attended Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska, before attending Creighton University School of Medicine, where he graduated with honors. After medical school, he completed his family medicine residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center / Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska. He then served four years at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming, separating in 2008 as a Major and Commander of the Aerospace Medicine Flight. After a year on the teaching staff at the University of Wyoming Family Medicine Residency, Dr. Bartholomew returned to Saratoga in 2009 and helped operate the Platte Valley Medical Center. He is a strong advocate for Direct Primary Care, emphasizing personalized, affordable, and accessible primary care without insurance barriers. He also leads state‑wide initiatives such as telehealth advocacy, the WyoPOLST program, and the Wyoming Cancer Coalition Palliative Care Initiative, and has served as President of the Wyoming Medical Society and the Wyoming Academy of Family Physicians.
