Board certified 20+ years in practice

About

Dan Surdam, MD, is a board‑certified emergency physician with more than 20 years of experience. He graduated from Creighton University School of Medicine in 2002 and completed his emergency medicine residency at UT Southwestern Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He has practiced emergency and urgent care across Wyoming, Colorado, and Texas, and has owned independent emergency‑medicine groups and urgent‑care facilities.

In 2016 he co‑founded Stitches Acute Care Center with his wife Amy Surdam, FNP‑C. The clinics operate on a Direct Primary Care model that eliminates copays and deductibles, offering monthly memberships that provide patients with same‑day urgent care, family medicine, occupational health, and telemedicine. He emphasizes increasing accessibility, affordability, convenience, and quality for the communities they serve.

As Chief Medical Officer of Community Care Partners and CEO of Stitches, he leads innovations such as InstaClinics and telehealth partnerships, and has been active in community health response during COVID‑19, providing testing and education.
