About
Dr. Cliff Porter is the managing partner and founder of Texas Direct Medical Care. He is board certified in Family Medicine and is dedicated to providing highly personalized primary care through the Direct Primary Care model. Prior to opening Texas Direct Medical Care, Dr. Porter served as medical director for several urgent care clinics in Travis County and practiced full‑service family medicine as an Army physician at Fort Hood, caring for active‑duty soldiers, their families, and retirees across primary care, hospital admissions, emergency medicine, intensive care, and obstetrics. He is a retired Colonel who deployed with the 1st Armored Division to Iraq in 2011 and later served in the Army Reserve and Texas Army National Guard as the senior flight physician for the 36th Combat Aviation Brigade.
