CHELSEA BURGIN
Family Medicine
About
Dr. Chelsea Burgin, MD, is the founding physician of Embrace Health, a Direct Primary Care practice in Landrum, South Carolina. Raised in the Canadian Foothills and trained in the Carolina Foothills, she believes family medicine and primary care are the heart of medicine. Dissatisfied with the constraints of the traditional healthcare system, Dr. Burgin created Embrace to practice mindful, patient‑centered care that allows her to spend ample time listening, assessing, and partnering with each individual to develop personalized health plans.
At Embrace, Dr. Burgin leads a small medical family of 200‑300 patients per clinician, providing same‑day or next‑day appointments, comprehensive chronic disease management, urgent care, and preventive services. She is passionate about education, having taught at community talks, schools, public libraries, and as a founding faculty member of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Greenville. Her approach emphasizes mindful de‑prescribing, individualized lifestyle planning, and empowering patients to take an active role in their health.
