Dr. Chaylah Lomotey MD/MPH is a board‑certified family practice physician who embraces the Direct Primary Care model to provide personalized, accessible care. She believes in a partnership with patients, offering ample time, direct communication, and a focus on preventive health. Her DPC philosophy emphasizes eliminating insurance barriers, fostering continuity, and delivering high‑quality care without copays.
Born in Connecticut and raised in Texas, Dr. Lomotey earned her BS in Health Science from Eastern Nazarene College and completed her MD and MPH at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She completed a residency in Family Medicine at Valley Baptist Family Practice in Harlingen, TX. After residency she worked as an immigration physician and in a rural family medicine clinic before joining Thrive Direct Primary Care, where she has served the New Braunfels community since 2013. She also brings extensive international experience, having done mission work in Romania, public‑health research in Haiti, and medical missions in Ghana. In her free time she homeschools her children, enjoys walking, and is active in her local church.
