Dr. Chaminie Wheeler is a dedicated pediatrician with a positive outlook on life, viewing it as full of "unicorns and rainbows." Her passion for medicine began in high school, where she volunteered for the "Happy Club," fundraising for Operation Smile to help children with congenital deformities. Dr. Wheeler earned double majors in Mathematics and Biology at Virginia Wesleyan College, combining her love for logic and curiosity about human development. She completed her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine at Des Moines University and a Pediatric Residency at Blank Children’s Hospital in Iowa. As a Board‑Certified Pediatrician, Dr. Wheeler has extensive experience in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Neonatal and Pediatric Hospital Medicine, and managing high‑risk deliveries. She adopted the Direct Primary Care model to foster holistic wellness and development in children, staying true to her optimistic approach to life and medicine.
