About

Dr. Carin Sanchez was born and raised in Metairie, LA. She attended the Academy of the Sacred Heart for 13 years. After graduating from Sacred Heart, she earned a B.S. in Biology from Emory University in Atlanta. She then worked for two years in the Department of Psychiatry at Emory conducting research on depression and anxiety before returning to New Orleans to attend the LSU School of Medicine. In 2008 she completed her training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and served an additional year as Chief Resident at the University of Texas. Dr. Sanchez is board‑certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. After training she worked in the student health clinic at Tulane University for two years and then spent over four years as a hospitalist at East Jefferson General Hospital. Her experience as a hospitalist inspired her to create a practice focused on long‑lasting patient relationships and the Direct Primary Care model, removing insurance burdens to prioritize patient‑centered care. When not practicing, Dr. Sanchez enjoys spending time with her three active sons.
