Dr. Camtu Nguyen Karrenbauer, D.O., is the visionary founder of Karrenbauer Integrative Family Medicine (KIFM) and a board‑certified family physician. She combines conventional family medicine with evidence‑based complementary therapies such as nutritional counseling, herbal medicine, acupuncture, and mind‑body techniques, creating a holistic, patient‑centered approach that addresses the whole person—body, mind, spirit, and community. Dr. Karrenbauer emphasizes preventive care, lifestyle education, and spending ample time with each patient to develop personalized treatment plans that promote long‑lasting wellness.
Before establishing KIFM, Dr. Karrenbauer served as Medical Director at Duke Primary Care and UNC Rex Primary Care, and was an Adjunct Professor at the UConn School of Medicine. She also spent over a decade in private practice in Connecticut, gaining deep experience in both conventional and integrative medicine.
