Dr. Byron Jasper is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Byja Clinic, Louisiana's first Black‑owned Direct Primary Care practice. He earned his medical degree from Tulane School of Medicine, complemented by a master’s degree from Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Dr. Jasper completed his family medicine residency at Baton Rouge General Family Medicine Residency Program and furthered his expertise with fellowships in Community Health Leadership Development at Georgetown University and HIV and Hepatitis C care at Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C. He is board certified in Family Medicine and specializes in HIV and hepatitis C medicine. Dr. Jasper also serves as the Founder, National President, and Executive Director of the non‑profit Comprehensive Medical Mentoring Program, which mentors minority students pursuing health‑professional careers, and is the author of the book "Byja Blueprint: An Introductory Guide to Direct Primary Care for Doctors, Patients, and Businesses."
