About
Dr. Ann Riggs was born and raised in Warrensburg, Missouri. She graduated valedictorian from Warrensburg High School in 1994. She then attended Brigham Young University under an academic and athletic scholarship for the women’s basketball program, graduating with a BS in Zoology. She returned to Kansas City to attend the Kansas City University of Medical Biosciences, where she graduated among the top 15% in her class and served as the President of the National Honors Fraternity Sigma Sigma Phi. She then went to the Via Christi Family Practice Residency Program in Wichita, Kansas, where she was selected as Chief Resident as well as Outstanding 1st and 3rd‑year resident. Upon completion of residency, she moved to Harrison, Arkansas, where she practiced full‑spectrum family medicine. Dr. Riggs now leads Direct Medical Care, a Direct Primary Care practice focused on affordable, patient‑centered primary care without insurance constraints.
