Ankrehah "Kre" Johnson

Dr. Ankrehah "Kre" Johnson, DO, is a board‑certified Family Medicine physician and the founder of Brownstone Healthcare & Aesthetics, a Direct Primary Care practice serving Birmingham and Trussville, Alabama. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Spelman College, completed a post‑baccalaureate program at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, and received her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. After completing a Family Medicine residency at St. Vincent’s East Hospital in Birmingham, she launched Brownstone Healthcare to provide affordable, patient‑centered primary care without insurance barriers. Dr. Kre emphasizes preventive health, personalized relationships, and community wellness, integrating her roles as a speaker, life coach, and author to empower patients to take charge of their health.

Beyond clinical care, Dr. Kre serves as Medical Director for the City of Birmingham Employee Health Clinic (Brownstone BWell) and the Living Well PrEP & HIV Clinic, and she founded the nonprofit Three Twenty Girls, Inc., which supports girls and women pursuing STEM, medicine, and entrepreneurship. Her commitment to community health is reflected in her involvement with local medical societies and her dedication to mentoring the next generation of physicians.
