ANITA MACDONALD

Dr. Anita MacDonald, MD, is board certified in Family Medicine and sees patients age 12 and older. She earned her undergraduate degree from Amherst College in 1990 and received her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1997. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at Forbes Family Practice in Pennsylvania from 1997 to 2000. Dr. MacDonald served as a Primary Care Physician at HealthPartners Health Center for Women from 2004 to 2020 and was the Clinic Medical Director there from 2010 to 2020. She was recognized as a 2024 Minnesota Monthly Top Doctor in Family Medicine. Dr. MacDonald emphasizes strong patient relationships, listening, partnership, coaching, empowerment, and advocacy in her Direct Primary Care practice. Outside of medicine she enjoys time with family, nature, podcasts, meditation, and promoting compassion and justice.
