ANGELA KERN

Angela Kern, FNP, was born and raised in Hecker, Illinois. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Goldfarb School of Nursing in 2011 and later completed a Master of Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Maryville University in 2019. Prior to joining Rural Family Medicine, Angela gained extensive clinical experience working at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis Children’s Hospital, and a family practice in Belleville, Illinois, where she developed a strong foundation in comprehensive primary care.

At Rural Family Direct Care, Angela embraces the Direct Primary Care model by providing personalized, relationship‑focused care without the constraints of insurance paperwork. She emphasizes preventive health, same‑day access, and open communication through phone, text, and video visits, ensuring that each patient receives the time and attention needed to achieve optimal health outcomes. Outside of the clinic, Angela enjoys spending quality time with her husband Michael and their daughters Mallory and Ava.
