AMY-JO BEKONG

Dr. Amy-Jo Bekong, DO, is a board‑certified family physician who earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, completing a pre‑doctoral year in osteopathic manipulative therapy in 2016. She then completed her Family Medicine residency at Harnett Health and the Campbell University Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine. Beginning her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse over 17 years ago, Dr. Bekong brings that compassionate, hands‑on experience to her role as a fervent patient advocate. She is passionate about delivering affordable, high‑quality care and embraces the Direct Primary Care model to provide personalized, accessible primary and mental health services to her community.

At Ivory Bloom Health, Dr. Bekong emphasizes a patient‑centered approach that prioritizes longer appointments, same‑day access, and direct communication via secure messaging. Outside of her practice, she enjoys exploring new recipes, learning about diverse cultures, gardening, and traveling with her husband and four children.
