Amy Jane Nayo

Dr. Amy Jane Nayo is a family medicine physician and co-owner of Unorthodoc. She joined Unorthodoc in 2020 after practicing broad-spectrum family medicine in a rural community in North Carolina. Dr. Nayo's journey into medicine began with her Peace Corps service in Togo, West Africa, where she developed her passion for service and medicine. She chose primary care because she believes in the power of relationships and preventive care. Dr. Nayo enjoys spending time with her husband and four children, trail running, gardening, and cooking vegan meals for her family. She is honored and proud to be a family doctor, believing that primary care, when done well, is a balanced blend of clinical medicine, humanism, and a pragmatic perspective.
