AMARINDER ANAND

Dr. Amarinder Anand is a Family Medicine physician and certified life coach who co‑founded Health Matters Direct Primary Care in San Diego. She believes that time with patients is the cornerstone of quality care, and the Direct Primary Care model lets her spend longer, uninterrupted visits with each member, develop personalized wellness plans, and stay connected via direct texting and calls. Dr. Anand emphasizes evidence‑based, patient‑centered care that integrates primary care with wellness coaching to help patients achieve higher levels of health.

She earned her MD from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI, and completed a Family Medicine residency at Kaiser Permanente in Fontana, CA. Drawing on her clinical training and a background in journalism, she focuses on listening deeply, asking the right questions, and translating medical knowledge into actionable health strategies for her patients. Outside the clinic, Dr. Anand enjoys family time, dancing, and community involvement, bringing the same energy and dedication to her practice as she does to her personal life.
