ALTHEA TYNDALL-SMITH

Dr. Althea Tyndall-Smith is a Board‑Certified Family Medicine physician with more than 20 years of experience. She earned her M.D. from Drexel University College of Medicine in 2005 and completed a three‑year Family Medicine residency at Wellspan Health/York Hospital (2005‑2008). After practicing in York, Pennsylvania, she moved to Gainesville in 2013 and co‑founded Gainesville Direct Primary Care Physicians to provide high‑quality, relationship‑focused care. Her DPC philosophy emphasizes holistic, patient‑centered medicine, allowing ample time for education, shared decision‑making, and compassionate care.

Dr. Tyndall‑Smith is passionate about empowering patients to take control of their health, integrating body, mind, and spirit. She enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and remains active in community service, including missionary work in Guatemala and volunteer health programs in York, PA.
