ALEXA OWENS

Dr. Alexa Owens, DO, is a board‑certified family medicine physician who embraces a Direct Primary Care model focused on deep, personal relationships with her patients. Her goal is to get to know each patient on a profound level, developing individualized lifestyle plans that optimize health and prevent chronic disease. By limiting panel size, she can spend ample time listening, educating, and partnering with patients to create sustainable wellness strategies.

Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Dr. Owens earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. She completed a family medicine residency at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, where she honed her skills in preventive and lifestyle medicine. Her clinical philosophy centers on prevention over treatment, a focus she attributes to early experiences witnessing sports injuries at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Outside of practice, she enjoys walking and running with her family’s two dogs, cooking, and baking nutritious treats.
