AKILAH DE AZA

Dr. Akilah De Aza, MD, is the founder and sole physician of De Aza Direct Primary Care, a Direct Primary Care practice in Oviedo, Florida. She believes that patients deserve uninterrupted, personalized care without the constraints of insurance billing, offering same‑day or next‑day visits, unlimited telehealth communication, and a focus on preventive wellness, nutrition, and lifestyle coaching. Her DPC model emphasizes long appointments, direct access via text or email, and a collaborative approach with specialists when needed.

Dr. De Aza earned her Bachelor of Science from Hampton University (2004), her Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta (2009), and completed a Family Medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida (2012). She is board‑certified in Family Medicine, an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Central Florida Medical Community, and enjoys traveling, cooking healthy meals, and practicing martial arts with her family.
