Dr. Jenny Powell was born and raised in central Illinois, where she lived until 2006. A small‑town girl, she married her high school sweetheart and pursued a career in medicine. After completing medical school and residency in family medicine, she dedicated herself to providing comprehensive primary care.
Dr. Powell founded Direct Primary Care Clinics to ensure that everyone could enjoy quality healthcare, regardless of insurance status. She saw many uninsured patients struggling to receive timely care and created a model focused on affordable, patient‑centered services, emphasizing long appointments, continuity of care, and a strong doctor‑patient relationship.
