Dr. Zachary K. West was born and raised north of Tiffin, Ohio, and is a third‑generation resident of Seneca County. He earned an Associate of Science from Terra State Community College, a B.S. in biology from Youngstown State University, and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he was honored as an Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Honors Student. After completing clinical rotations at Firelands Regional Medical Center, he pursued internal medicine residency at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio, and a fellowship in Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, Maine. Dr. West is dual‑board‑certified in Internal Medicine and Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and holds the FACOI designation.
As the founder of the Ohio Institute of Osteopathic Medicine, LLC, Dr. West practices Direct Primary Care (DPC) to eliminate insurance middlemen and provide personalized, affordable care. His DPC model emphasizes longer visits, same‑day access via phone, video, or home visits, and a focus on preventive health and osteopathic manipulative techniques, allowing patients to receive comprehensive care without the constraints of traditional fee‑for‑service billing.
