About
Dr. Travis Allen, MD, is a board‑certified Internal Medicine physician and Senior Aviation Medical Examiner who founded The Pilot Clinic to provide Direct Primary Care (DPC) in the West Valley. He designed the practice around a patient‑centered model that emphasizes accessible, affordable, and high‑quality care, allowing members to receive same‑day appointments, longer visits, and a focus on preventive health without the constraints of traditional insurance billing. Dr. Allen’s DPC philosophy centers on building lasting relationships with patients, using point‑of‑care ultrasound and clinic‑based procedures to deliver comprehensive care in a convenient setting.
In addition to his DPC practice, Dr. Allen maintains hospitalist privileges at Abrazo West Campus and City of Hope in Goodyear, Arizona, and brings extensive experience from primary and hospital care. He is passionate about efficient, evidence‑based medicine, has a special interest in aviation medicine, and serves as a designated Aviation Medical Examiner for the FAA. A former U.S. Army officer, he earned his medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and holds a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies. Outside of medicine, Dr. Allen is an avid pilot, hiker, and community volunteer.
