About

Dr. Thao Tran immigrated to the United States at the age of 2 and began her lifelong journey in healthcare at 15 when her mother was diagnosed with cancer. That experience sparked a passion for medicine, leading her to become a valedictorian at Northridge High School, earn a full‑ride scholarship to Wright State University (Summa Cum Laude), and receive the Boonshoft Scholars Scholarship to attend the Boonshoft School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina before returning to her hometown of Vandalia, Ohio. As a mother of three, Dr. Tran founded Radiant Health Direct Primary Care to restore the doctor‑patient relationship, offering unlimited access, same‑day appointments, and transparent pricing. Her care philosophy—"stay humble, care deeply, live joyfully, and share your heart"—guides a practice focused on wellness, prevention, and personalized care.

Beyond clinical work, Dr. Tran has volunteered at local hospitals for eight years, served as a medical interpreter, and been an active parishioner at Sacred Heart Church since 2001, where she teaches Vietnamese, plays piano/organ, and runs a health‑communication program. In her free time she enjoys family activities, caring for animals, painting, playing piano, and photography, reflecting her commitment to service, integrity, and excellence for her patients.
