Shandra Basil

Dr. Shandra Basil, DO, MS, is the owner and physician of Basil Family Medicine, a Direct Primary Care practice serving Columbus, Chillicothe, and Johnstown, Ohio. Born and raised in Chillicothe, she completed her medical education at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine and a family medicine residency at Adena Regional Medical Center. Dr. Basil’s practice emphasizes affordable, transparent care with direct access to the physician, extended visits, and a one‑stop‑shop model that includes primary care, osteopathic manipulative medicine, lab work, women’s health, and basic procedures. She believes that spending ample time with each patient—often two hours for a single visit—allows her to get to the root of health issues and build lasting doctor‑patient relationships.
