About
Dr. Saurav Kayastha, M.D. was born and raised in the Himalayan country of Nepal. He graduated from Lugansk State Medical University in Ukraine with an M.D. degree in 2014. After moving to the United States, he volunteered at free medical clinics such as the Temple Community Free Clinic and Santa Fe Free Clinic in Texas, and later at The Medina Clinic while working full‑time at Gladstone Urgent Care in Missouri. He passed Step 3 of his boards and obtained his Missouri Assistant Physician license.
Dr. Kayastha is passionate about Direct Primary Care because he believes uninsured and low‑income patients should have the same access to high‑quality primary care as those with insurance. He is excited to work with Dr. Sheppard to provide affordable, relationship‑focused primary care to the Joplin community through Free Market Physicians.
