Dr. Sara J. Martin, MD, is a Family Physician who obtained her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Duluth, MN. She graduated from the Duluth Family Medicine Residency in 2011. She practiced full‑spectrum family medicine in Sauk Centre until 2020, where she was known as Dr. Sara Olmanson. She and her husband chose to integrate their family name, becoming Dr. Sara Martin. Her own family’s experience with serious medical emergencies inspired her to bring a lived‑experience, healing‑focused approach to her patients. She completed a fellowship through the Academy of Integrative and Holistic Medicine in 2021 and now offers integrative, holistic care within a Direct Primary Care (DPC) model that emphasizes relationship‑centered, evidence‑informed medicine.

At Arise Wellbeing, Dr. Martin’s DPC philosophy centers on caring for the whole being—body, mind, and spirit. She combines conventional family medicine with nutrition, supplements, herbs, and other supportive modalities, tailoring care to each patient’s values and circumstances. By limiting panel size and eliminating insurance‑based barriers, she provides same‑day access, longer visits, and a collaborative partnership that empowers patients to become active advocates for their health.
