About
Dr. Robert Wagenaar grew up in Big Timber, Montana and earned a B.S. in Microbiology from Montana State University. He completed medical school at the University of Washington in Seattle and then served a three‑year family medicine residency at the Puget Sound Family Medicine Residency program at Naval Hospital Bremerton. While in the Navy he cared for Sailors, Airmen, and Marines and their families at Keflavik Naval Air Station in Iceland. After his service he returned to Montana, practicing in rural communities and in Billings. At PearlMed DPC he embraces the Direct Primary Care model, offering patients full‑time access, 30‑60 minute appointments, no insurance‑driven restrictions, and a focus on preventive care, chronic disease management, and personalized wellness.
Dr. Wagenaar’s philosophy centers on building long‑term doctor‑patient relationships, eliminating copays and visit limits, and providing comprehensive primary care—including physicals, pediatric care, minor procedures, and telehealth—so families can receive attentive, coordinated care without the barriers of traditional insurance systems.
