About

Dr. Mikel Hofmann has been serving patients in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area since 2009, originally hailing from Albany, Georgia. She earned both her B.S. and M.D. from The Florida State University and completed her residency training at the Georgetown University/Providence Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program in 2012. As a board‑certified family physician, Dr. Hofmann’s clinical interests include adult and pediatric care, women’s health, and long‑term continuity of care. She founded CuraCapitol to provide Direct Primary Care that emphasizes personalized, relationship‑based medicine, keeping care simple, affordable, and centered on the patient’s needs.

Before establishing CuraCapitol, Dr. Hofmann served as Medical Director of a local clinic dedicated to caring for underserved communities and continues to teach as a Family Medicine preceptor for Georgetown University School of Medicine, training the next generation of physicians. Recognized as a Washingtonian Magazine “Top Doctor” in 2024 and 2025, she also volunteers in the community, enjoys running, and advocates for health equity.
