Dr. Mary Fontenot Anderson was born in Columbia, South Carolina but grew up most of her life in Mobile, Alabama. She graduated from Spring Hill College and subsequently earned her MD from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at East Jefferson General Hospital. During residency, Dr. Anderson learned about the concept of Direct Primary Care and knew immediately that this was the model she wanted to practice, emphasizing personalized, affordable, and relationship‑focused care for her patients.
