She met her husband, Dr. Lyman Wostrel, at Ross University School of Medicine, where she received her M.D. degree. After completing a family medicine residency in California, she co‑founded Zion Asher Family Physicians in Mount Vernon, Missouri, in 2018 as a Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice.
