Dr. Kristine Martens is a board‑certified Family Medicine physician and co‑founder of Resurgent Health, North Dakota’s first Direct Primary Care clinic. She has over a decade of experience providing comprehensive, full‑scope family medicine to patients of all ages. Dr. Martens is passionate about a patient‑centered DPC model that emphasizes wellness, affordability, and uninterrupted access, allowing her to spend 60‑90 minute visits with each patient and eliminate insurance‑driven barriers. She grew up in Billings, Montana, attended Concordia College in Moorhead, and earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University. After completing a three‑year Family Medicine residency at Rapid City Regional Hospital, she returned to Fargo in 2013, where she has practiced at Sanford Health and Pinnacle Health Care, and later helped launch the Sanford Health Family Medicine Residency. Dr. Martens remains committed to building trusting relationships, mentoring new physicians, and advancing obesity medicine to prevent chronic disease.
