She earned an award of excellence in palliative care and is recognized for her compassionate communication with patients. Growing up in an underserved, rural community in Benson, NC, she is committed to improving healthcare access for similar populations. In addition to her clinical training, she holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree and a bachelor's degree in clinical research from Campbell University.
