About
Dr. Karen Shulman was born in upstate New York but raised in Southern Ontario. She earned a Kinesiology degree at the University of Waterloo before attending Western University (University of Western Ontario) for medical school, graduating in 1993. She completed a Family Medicine residency in London, Ontario, and then began her career in the United States. Dr. Shulman spent three years practicing in Western Massachusetts before moving to Wisconsin, where she served for over 20 years as a family physician in a rural clinic in Stratford and later as Medical Director of Adult Primary Care for the Marshfield Clinic Health System. Now she has joined Advocate MD to practice Direct Primary Care, focusing on longer visits, shared decision‑making, and comprehensive primary care for her patients.
