About
Dr. Karen Shulman was born in upstate New York but raised in Southern Ontario. She studied Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo and earned her medical degree at Western University in London, Ontario. After completing a Family Medicine residency in London, she began her U.S. career, working three years in Western Massachusetts before moving to Marshfield, Wisconsin, where she spent over 20 years as a family physician in a rural clinic in Stratford. More recently she served as Medical Director of Adult Primary Care for the Marshfield Clinic Health System. Dr. Shulman is excited to join Advocate MD’s Direct Primary Care model, focusing on comprehensive primary care and strong doctor‑patient relationships. In her personal time she enjoys cycling, hiking, diving, and traveling with her husband Doug.
