Family Medicine
About
Dr. Julia Helstrom founded Bucks County Center for Integrative Medicine (BCIM) in 2016 to bring integrative and functional medicine to the forefront of primary care. She built her practice on the Direct Primary Care model, emphasizing long‑term relationships, ample appointment time, and direct access to the physician. Dr. Helstrom’s osteopathic training and belief in the body’s innate healing capacity drive a patient‑centered approach that blends conventional family medicine with functional medicine, osteopathic manipulative treatment, and health coaching.
She earned her Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed an extra year of study in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, and completed a family medicine residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City, where she also received training in integrative medicine. She is board certified in family medicine and continues her education through the Institute for Functional Medicine, maintaining a focus on preventive care and personalized wellness for each patient.
